John McDonald, the owner, has many years of experience in operating heavy equipment, job materials of all types, construction, and construction management. He opened Clark’s Rock before starting Duckworth Backhoe Inc. in 1990.
John has owned several successful businesses in his lifetime, having always doing some form of construction. His passions are (in this order) God and church, family, and business.
John's motto is "When you work for Duckworth, you're not just a part of the Duckworth family, you're a part of mine."
Paul Duckworth is the Estimator for Duckworth's backhoe division.
Paul, at one time, was co-owner of Duckworth Backhoe Inc. but made the decision to move to Hawaii. He decided, after a few years, that he missed California and his friends so much that he came aboard, once again, Duckworth Backhoe. Paul continues to be an intrical part of Duckworth and all of our lives.
Steve Hamilton joined Duckworth in 2008 as the Licensed General Contractor for Duckworth Construction. If you have construction needs, Steve will be the first person at your site with a friendly smile and a "can do" attitude.
John Buhman joined Duckworth in 2007 as the Estimator and Operator for Duckworth Construction.
John is a native Napan and 5th generation Buhman to call the napa valley home. For over a century, the Buhmans have farmed, had a dairy, and grew some of the first vineyards in Napa. He had to venture out of the family farming to make a living and made a natural transition into heavy construction. John enjoys engaging in all aspects of the business, primarily estimating and operating.
Lisa Culverwell joined Duckworth in 2013 as the Office Manager. Lisa makes sure everyone is always well taken care of, handling the business needs of Duckworth Backhoe inc. and Duckworth Construction.
Prior to Duckworth, Lisa grew up in Ohio and moved to California in 2002, migrating to napa in 2009 with her husband. Lisa began her career in 2000 as a Bookkeeper and continued to grow within her profession over the years. It was only natural that one day she would find a family like Duckworth to care for, where she could put her bookkeeping skills to use while taking care of the company as a whole.
